The Barbados Light & Power Company Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Emera Caribbean and currently the sole electricity utility provider in the country of Barbados. It started operations on 17 June 1911. We safely provide energy and energy services that are cost-effective and reliable for our customers. The Sol Group supplies fuels, lubricants, and LPG through an extensive service station network and supplies petroleum based products to commercial customers who are involved in shipping, luxury boating, aviation, mining, trucking and fleet operations. At present, we operate across more than fifty-five (55) companies in nineteen (19) countries including Sol Puerto Rico. Due to this geographical diversity our business is transacted in nine (9) currencies, across four (4) languages within multiple legislative frameworks.
